The Dog House

DEBBIE SMITH knitwear

Debbie takes over The Dog House kitchen for the duration of the festival, showcasing work from her inventive showcase shop, 'Purl'.

Debbie opened 'Purl' in July 2007 after offering lunchtime knitting classes at the local school. She soon realised that demand for knitting along with other crafts, coupled with the desire to create something individual was on the increase. Situated in the Port Hall area of Brighton, Purl has quickly become the place to buy top quality yarn and muse over the excellent range of stylish contemporary knitting pattern books.

Boasting its own designers and knitters, Purl creates an extensive range of knitted goods, from tea cosies to corsages, to the more eclectic range of cakes, pizzas and other oddities.

Debbie runs knitting and craft classes for children everyday after school, and also weekend adult craft workshops.
